La Moderna Unidad Educativa Internacional took part in the 17th edition of La Asamblea en mi Colegio for five days, giving 117 high school students the opportunity to engage with the legislative branch. La Asamblea en mi Colegio was chaired by Rafaela Guerra, who, together with her high school classmates, debated several projects, including community tourism and reforms to the Childhood and Adolescence Code regarding adoptions. During the preparation and simulation days, the students were guided and supervised by Dr. Bryan Dueñas Reyes, manager of the Legislative House of the Province of Guayas, and Mr. Edison Proaño and Mr. Edison Miño, leaders of the La Asamblea en mi Colegio project. They involved students in the exercise of their role as legislators with strong values, honesty, and respect, contributing to the improvement of the quality of life of the Ecuadorian people.
