Patricio holds a PhD in Education and has a strong academic background, with extensive experience in educational leadership, business management, and people development. He brings more than 15 years of experience in higher and secondary education, as well as business administration. He holds an MBA, a master’s degree in Projects and Business, PMP, and a master’s degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Marketing.

Throughout his career, he has led academic innovation, institutional strengthening, and the development of comprehensive programs that bring together educational excellence, human development, and international outlook across different educational institutions.

He complements his leadership role with experience as a personal and corporate coach, focused on strategic growth, leadership, and organizational transformation.

Virginia is an educator and holder of a master’s degree in Educational Management. Throughout her career in education, she has served as a teacher and academic coordinator. Her experience has allowed her to actively contribute to school improvement, support, and management processes.

Virginia is known for her commitment to meaningful learning and for inspiring teachers, promoting educational practices that strengthen critical thinking, engagement, and the development of life skills.

She firmly believes that education should offer valuable experiences that allow students to learn with purpose, grow with intention, and develop holistically, fostering an education grounded in values, commitment, and a forward-looking vision.

María Laura holds a master’s degree in Educational Management and an MBA. She is a bilingual educational leader with more than 27 years of experience in academic leadership, curricular innovation, and institutional management. Throughout her career, she has led strategic planning, teacher development, and continuous improvement processes in national and international educational institutions.

She has experience in accreditation, evaluation, and educational quality assurance under international standards, as well as in academic assessment in both Spanish and English. She has also contributed to university-level education in the areas of leadership, business, and strategic planning. Her career is defined by her commitment to fostering educational communities centered on academic excellence and holistic development.

María Fernanda holds degrees in Business Administration and Education, with a specialization in English Language and Linguistics, as well as a master’s degree in Educational Management. She has further strengthened her professional training with a diploma in Project-Based Learning (PBL) from Politécnico de Colombia. With more than 28 years of experience in education, she has served as an English teacher and held responsibilities in academic leadership and school management.

She currently serves as Primary School Principal, where she leads strategies focused on strengthening educational quality, supporting students’ holistic development, and providing ongoing guidance to teaching teams. Her experience includes the implementation and consolidation of the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP), promoting a culture of innovation, active learning, and continuous improvement that contributes to institutional growth and academic excellence.

Miss Luisi, as she is affectionately known within our school community, is an Early Childhood Educator and holds a degree in Educational Administration and Supervision, with more than 20 years of distinguished experience at our school, supporting families and generations of students whom she has joyfully seen graduate. Her work reflects a strong commitment to the holistic well-being of children between 18 months and 5 years old, focused on the full development of their abilities, skills, and life competencies throughout Early Childhood Education and First Grade of Basic General Education.

She coordinates projects immersed in the English language, allowing her to bring a valuable multicultural perspective to her educational practice and create a meaningful impact on young students’ learning as they engage with other cultures.

She works collaboratively and closely with Spanish and English teachers, teaching assistants, the French and Physical Education teachers, as well as the Student Counseling Department (DECE), providing comprehensive support focused on the socio-emotional development of every child who joins La Moderna Preschool.

Convinced of the importance of the earliest stages of development, her vocation is also reflected in her ongoing commitment to creating safe, nurturing environments that foster emotional growth, empathy, and the well-being of all students who are part of the La Moderna family.

Alejandro brings 12 years of experience in educational development and institutional management. He is known for being both firm and approachable, building close, respectful relationships across the school community, and consistently demonstrating a strong commitment to service.

He has completed TESOL Teacher in Professional Studies training and holds a degree in Pedagogy of National and Foreign Languages, allowing him to understand the educational process from a holistic, academic, and human perspective.

In his role, he promotes a positive school environment grounded in respect, harmonious coexistence, and adherence to institutional policies. Through his leadership, he actively contributes to students’ holistic development and to strengthening an organized, safe, and committed educational community.

Romina has more than 10 years of experience in renowned educational institutions, where she has built a strong career grounded in trust, warmth, and service excellence. Her work goes beyond administrative processes: Romina sees admissions as the first emotional connection between a family and the institution. From the very first contact, she supports prospective students and their families with empathy, clarity, and commitment, guiding them closely through each stage of the process and providing reassurance during one of the most important decisions a family can make.

She stands out for her assertive communication and her ability to resolve conflicts, qualities that allow her to build strong, lasting relationships with families. In addition, her fluency in English enables her to support international families from diverse backgrounds, bringing a broader and more inclusive perspective to the admissions process.

Her collaborative leadership style strengthens teamwork and ensures an admissions experience aligned with the school’s values. Convinced that every family deserves to be heard and guided with respect, Romina works with a clear purpose: to offer a transparent, professional, and deeply human admissions experience that reflects La Moderna’s commitment to holistic education and the well-being of its school community.

Tamara, a general psychologist and specialist in the neuropsychology of learning, serves as Coordinator of the Student Counseling Department and ISP Safeguarding Lead. She has more than eight years of experience across several areas of psychology, with a strong background in education, including both mainstream and specialized education. Throughout her career, she has helped build awareness and understanding around educational inclusion.

In her role as DECE Coordinator and Safeguarding Lead, Miss Tamara works to ensure that students grow and develop in a safe, protected, and inclusive environment, fulfilling strategic responsibilities that support their holistic development and protect their rights.

As part of her responsibilities, she leads, coordinates, and implements the actions of the Student Counseling Department (DECE) to ensure students’ overall well-being, protection, psychosocial support, and socio-emotional development. Her work also includes prevention, early detection, promotion, and timely response to situations of risk or rights violations, fostering an institutional culture of safeguarding, inclusion, and respectful care.

She is recognized for her ability to resolve conflicts, communicate assertively, and lead teamwork while maintaining active listening for all. These qualities allow her to create an environment of trust and safety, supporting strong intra- and interpersonal relationships.

Another of Miss Tamara’s strengths is her command of English, as well as her ability to use Ecuadorian Sign Language, which enables her to communicate with people with hearing needs.

From her leadership role within the institution, she is committed to upholding institutional guidelines related to her position and continuing to promote well-being through the Student Counseling and Safeguarding Department, for the benefit of the entire school community.
