September 2025 Edition Rector’s Message Dear families, Throughout this month, our educational community has once again demonstrated the richness of its spirit and the strength of its values. In every gathering we have experienced, we have felt the commitment and unity that define us. From the Preschool Olympics, filled with joy, enthusiasm and companionship, to the Pledge to the Flag, which invited us to reaffirm our identity and sense of belonging, each experience has reminded us that true greatness lies in growing together. We continue to strengthen bonds, build community and offer our students a space where they develop academically, through values and through enriching experiences that leave a positive mark on their lives. Featured News Preschool Olympics On 6 September, the Preschool Olympics were celebrated, filling La Moderna’s spaces with smiles and enthusiasm. Our youngest students showed that play is also a way to learn. Through laughter and companionship, each activity strengthened confidence, unity and sporting spirit. The children also enjoyed exploring new challenges and discovering skills that motivate them to improve every day. Crazy Hair Day The youngest members of our community filled the hallways with colour and fun during Crazy Hair Day. With laughter and plenty of imagination, our Preschool students brought original creations to life, reflecting their joy, spontaneity and creative spirit. Artistic Gala With talent, passion and creativity, our Secondary students brought the Artistic Gala: Metamorphosis to life. Through singing, dance and acting, they shared a performance that reflected their abilities and highlighted the importance of art as a space for unity and expression within our educational community. Pledge to the Flag This solemn ceremony allowed our students to reaffirm their commitment to their country, showing respect and responsibility towards the values of the Republic. The event held special meaning for our community and young people, strengthening the sense of unity and citizenship among the new generations who represent the future of Ecuador. Achievements and Recognitions Persuasive Speech Contest Our students demonstrated their ability to persuade, inspire and communicate with confidence in the Public Speaking Contest, defending their ideas and encouraging reflection through compelling speeches. We congratulate the students who stood out in this edition: Daniel, Gema and Valentina. Upcoming Events Events Calendar 16–22 October – “Educating as a Family” Program A space for families to strengthen communication and discover tools to accompany their children at each stage of their growth, reinforcing bonds at home. Location: Auditorium 19 October – Primary Play Festival Primary students will bring “The Wizard of Oz” to life, highlighting their creativity, talent and ability for artistic expression. Location: Teatro Centro de Arte Sharing Achievements and Learning Opportunities UDR Conference This month, the cooperation agreement with Universidad de Río was signed, opening new opportunities for our students. Thanks to this alliance, our students will be able to access benefits such as discounts on the academic programmes offered by this institution. This agreement reinforces our commitment to providing high-quality educational experiences and expanding opportunities for academic and personal growth for our entire student community.
